ABOUT THE SESSION.
What to expect from a photoshoot with Paulina Duczman Photography
Here, I want to tell you about what to expect at a Fine Art portrait session with me.
That’s because I recognise that taking part in a photoshoot is not something that you do every day, so you probably have many questions about it.
These are the six things you should know.
ALL MY SESSIONS ARE COMPLETELY CUSTOMISED TO YOU
All my sessions are completely customised to you
Whether it’s a child portrait or a family group photo session, I create completely customised and bespoke portraits for you.
Before your session, I will spend time with you discussing your hopes for the portraits. I like to know as much about you as possible, so I can tailor the experience to your exact wishes.
And while I retain the creative control, I welcome your input on how you’d like the session to go and the types of pictures that you would like to achieve.
It’s important to me that because each individual and family are completely unique, that my portraits of you reflect that.
INTIMATE, LOVEABLE PORTRAITS
My goal is to capture the personal connection between the members of your family;
To show the intimacy between you and your partner.
To show the immense love you feel for your child (or children if you have several).
To show the love you all share for each other.
I focus on bringing you together, and creating an opportunity to capture and celebrate how close you are.
Your family is special and the love you share should be celebrated!
If you haven’t already, please take a look at my gallery where you will find examples of my work and will see 100% genuine intimacy and love in all the photos.
EXPRESSIVE AND TIMELESS ART
You’ll have noticed that my portraits aren’t snapshots with fake smiles and unnatural poses.
Instead, in my portraits I focus on the eyes.
I LOVE capturing my client’s eyes, as for me this is the way to touch and find their soul.
During the session, I’ll encourage you to reveal your true personality to me, so that I can convey this in the portraits.
Rest assured, I recognise that not everyone is a natural in front of the camera.
I am committed to making you as comfortable as possible in front of the camera. And I am there to guide and direct you – to help you look your best possible self.
YOUR CLOTHING IS SOMETHING THAT SHOULD BE CAREFULLY PLANNED AHEAD OF THE SESSION
Once you’ve booked your portrait session, one of the first things I will tell you is that the clothing you wear on the day is very important.
It will dictate the mood and tone of the portraits, and for that reason, should be carefully considered well in advance of the session date.
Again though, I am here to help you!
I will present you with a mood board to guide the style of clothing that I recommend you wear.
And if you would like to, you are very welcome to send me photos of your clothes that you are thinking of bringing along to the photoshoot. I can provide feedback and give you tips on how to create a cohesive look that will work well in the photos.
Alternatively, I can provide clothing if required.
Overall, what we are looking for are timeless, stylish and minimalistic clothes that keep the focus on you rather than on the clothes.
I WILL CREATE COLOUR AND BLACK & WHITE PORTRAITS
After the session I will then hand-pick the very best portraits that will be edited personally, by me, before they are presented to you as the finished images at your viewing appointment, approximately 3-4 weeks after your session.
And so that you have a selection to choose from, there will be portraits in colour and black and white.
A CELEBRATION OF LIFE, LOVE AND FAMILY
Having your portrait taken is a special occasion.
It is one that I intend to make highly enjoyable for you, as well as memorable.
You value your individuality and want portraits of exceptional quality, that are 100 % unique and personal to you.
Hopefully, now you know more about the session and what to expect, you’ll have realised that this is exactly what you can expect when you commission me.
I can’t wait to see you in the studio very soon!
